The Rhode Island Hawks host AAU tryouts for both the Fall and Spring seasons.

2012 Spring Tryouts

Tryout Information for the Spring/Summer season is posted below. They will be held in mid February for 5th thru 8th grade boys and early March for high school boys.

Players are not required to attend both days of tryouts but it is recommended to allow us to better evaluate everyone.

Registration Form: Please complete your Tryout Registration Form On-Line Prior to Tryouts

Players: You must be a member of the AAU prior to joining the RI Hawks basketball organization. (You do NOT need to register for AAU to tryou, only if you make a team) Don’t forget to register for your AAU Membership. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, be sure to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. Links to both of these web sites may be found on the RI Hawks home page.

Tournaments: All RI Hawks Spring AAU teams will be entered into 6-8 tournaments. Schedule will be distributed at parents meeting upon team selection and finalization of the tournaments.

Practice: Practices will be held 1 day a week at one of the RI Hawks practice facilities. Please check your team page for more information regarding day, time and location.

Coaching Staff: The RI Hawks coaching staff includes Hawks founder, Jason Elliott, and seasoned coaches at both the high school and youth level in addition to former college basketball players and RI Hawks alumni.
